"I'm also a member of Alpha Xi Delta, a social sorority at Southwestern and I serve as the Financial Vice President. I also recently got to see Riverdance (which absolutely LOVE) when it came to Dallas. I plan to graduate in 1 or 1 1/2 years and pursue a job teaching choir at the Middle School/Junior High or High School levels."

Marie Henderson
Junior - Music Education
Mezzo-Soprano
"I don't know where I want to teach yet--either general music in the elementary school, highschool choir, or college music education. Perhaps I'll incorporate music therapy into my plan somewhere along the way. Besides music, an obvious interest, I also enjoy gymnastics, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities."

Amanda Ortiz
Junior - Music Education
Violin
"Music is hard."

Jessica Manteuffel

Soprano
"My hobbies include reading, talking with friends, and singing. I am hoping to become a sonogram technician"

Casey Haltom

"My hobbies are attending all sorts of musical events and different types of volunteer work. In the future I hope to work in music as a performer on the stage in Musical Theatre and/or Opera, and eventually get my Masters and Doctorate in Vocal Performance and teach at the college level."

Audrey Dickey
Senior - Psychology
Bassoon
"Who doesn't like music? I love the fact that this organization helps to bring music into the lives of those who perhaps don't have ready access to music, especially performed live. Although to me, music was never a professional pursuit, performance has always been an important part of who I am. I'm also a member of Psi Chi, a honorary psychology organization. In graduate school, I hope to study subjects relating to human evolution and consciousness."

Chris Kersten
Senior - Vocal Performance
Bass
"[I'm] Currently working on several composition projects, as a part of a school / DO sponsored concert, involving several current students and alumni. I'd like to be a High School / College conductor in the future."

Amanda Bennett
Junior - Music Performance
Guitar, Voice, Piano, Harp, Harmonica
"hmmm... making music! I love worshipping my God with music and writing songs to Him, or about Him. Singing in different bands. Riding horses: I just learned how to barrel race in my Horsemanship class this semester! Hanging out with my roomate, a 14 year-old alley cat. Doing anything with my sorority sisters(Phi Lamb)! I have a deep love of music. It is my passion and always has been. I have never had an actual favorite kind of music because I love almost anything I hear. I find such satisfaction in music, whether it be creating it or listening to it that I have not found anywhere else. Beautiful sounds. Beautiful sounds are almost as important to me as the air I breathe. The other day someone was asking Matt Brown if he had to be one of the two would he rather be blind or deaf, and he said blind. I'd have to agree with him. I really would love to travel the world singing and playing in a band based on worship. There's nothing quite so amazing to me than that."

Gretchen Schoenfeld
Junior - Music Education
Soprano
"UMMM i wanna be a teacher (duh, look at my major). I'm a movie buff, Madrigals make me happy...that's it"

Meredith Dunckel
Junior - Music Education
Mezzo-Soprano
"I enjoy singing jazz, reading novels related to music or history, and going to "punk" shows. I like jazz, funk, fusion, blues, hardcore punk, Oi!, and other random stuff. I'd like to get a masters in chant performance and/or vocal jazz or conducting. I really don't know. My dream job is to be a conductor of an opera or ballet and sing jazz on the side.

Michael Nguyen
Junior - Music and Computer Science
Saxophone
"I love to hang out with friends, catch a movie, and play video games in my spare time. I plan on going to Graduate School pursuing studies in Music Technology."
